Fragment: missing subject or verb. Run-on: two clauses without proper separation. Correct: one complete clause (or properly joined clauses).

Vocabulary
Fragment: An incomplete sentence, missing a subject or verb.
Run-on sentence: Two or more sentences joined incorrectly.
Correct sentence: A complete thought with a subject and verb.
Common Mistakes
  • Marking a correct complex sentence as a run-on
  • Missing that a very long sentence can still be correct
